       E. Jeffrey Stann has designed gardens under the firm name Evening Gardens, LLC, since 1997.  He was trained in landscape design at George Washington University in Washington, DC.  He regularly consults for landscape maintenance and installation firms in the Washington, DC, area.  He occasionally speaks before garden clubs.

       Professional memberships include the Landscape Designers' Group, a professional association in metropolitan Washington, the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, and the APLD Maryland-DC-Virginia chapter.  He served on the Board of the LDG for many years and is currently vice-president of the MD-DC-VA chapter of APLD.        He is a member of the Landscape Committee of the Tregaron Conservancy in Washington, DC. The Conservancy is dedicated to rehabilitating and maintaining the historic gardens created by noted designer Ellen Biddle Shipman in the early twentieth century and to protecting important acreage in the city for wildlife conservation.        Prior to his current career, Jeff Stann spent a previous career at the Smithsonian Institution.

       Evening Gardens is licensed by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, License # 51630.
